Summer is right around the corner which means
Summer Book Discussions!
This year's theme is World War II.
The first book we will be discussing is,
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry on Wednesday,
June 26th. There is an AM discussion 10 am-12pm
and a PM discussion 6-8 pm.
The second book we will be discussing is,
Night by Elie Wiesel on
Wednesday, August 14th. There is an AM discussion 10 am- 12 pm and a PM
discussion 6-8 pm.
Call the office to reserve a spot for you and

Tutor Time
Out: Thinking Outside the Box
On Tuesday, June
18th at 6:30 p.m. we will be having a Tutor
Time-Out on thinking "Outside the Box."
Are you looking for something fun to do with
your learner this summer? Or do you need
some new ideas? It's time to start
thinking outside the box ( or outside the
curriculum in this case)!
We'll share some fun things you can do with your learners.
Please let us know if you plan to attend so we
can have enough hand-outs.
New Resource to Use With Your Student!
The Change Agent is an adult education newsletter which
focuses on social justice issues!
It provides cutting edge resources for teaching
social issues, powerful student writing that
inspires discussion, and many ready-to-use
lesson plans! It is oriented toward a
multi-level audience.
We have a hard
copy available for you to browse through in the
Learning Center next to the News For You.
You can also go online with your
students

Monthly Reports
Remember, your tutoring reports are due the 10th
of the following month. Your April Tutoring
Calendars are OVERDUE! May Tutoring Calendars
are due June 10th!

Internet Explorer. If you use Chrome or some
other browser, you are best off sending an email
